I dug this movie! I was laughing the entire way through. David Spade is hysterical and I don't know if he helped write the movie or not, but it seems like he did. The sense of humor is so wry and smart-aleky that he must have had some input.
I disagree with Dave about the lack of songs. I didn't like that as much. I cannot say this is my favorite Disney movie because my favorite Disney movies always have a great up-beat song that I always end up singing for days. I really wish this movie had a great song. Yes, there is a nice one at the beginning and one during the credits, but I miss the show stopping production number in the middle.
That being said, I must say that this is my SECOND favorite Disney movie (Next to the Little Mermaid). And yes, I'm still in shock that the kids sat through it. THAT is the sign of a good kids' movie.
Bottom line - VERY very funny. 4 and a half stars.
